Stand to play at the easel

PKDurationTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For preschool students who sit or lean on furniture within a minute or two of standing, so they miss standing activities like the easel, water table, or cooking. Fit depends on timed observation, not age. PT should rule out pain or equipment needs.

Baseline
Time standing from the start of the activity to the first sit or lean for five sessions. Note footwear, braces, and whether interest in the activity is the limit.
Tips
Choose activities the child enjoys so interest is not the limit. Standing builds leg strength and lets the child join peers. Equipment set by the PT counts as a support.
Limits
Fatigue and medical conditions vary daily; record them. Not a goal to make a child stand without the equipment they need.
