When to use this goal

For middle school students who answer right-there questions but give partial answers when the answer is spread across the text. Present levels decide the text level.

Baseline
Count an answer correct only when all needed details are there. Note whether the student stops at the first detail found.
Tips
Follows the question-type template. Common on state tests.
Limits
Writing complete answers takes time; accept oral answers.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, after reading an unpracticed instructional-level passage, given 4 questions whose answers need details from two or more paragraphs, the student will answer each question with details from each needed paragraph and mark where each detail was found independently with at least 80% accuracy on search-across questions answered completely, on 3 of 4 consecutive biweekly probes, as measured by work-sample analysis collected every two weeks.

Baseline: 30% accuracy.
