Script a short video or podcast segment

When to use this goal

For students who are motivated by video or audio projects but start recording with no plan, so the result rambles. Present levels should show the student can write a paragraph; the target is a script with an opening, organized content, and a closing, written to be heard.

Baseline
Score one script or a transcript of an unscripted recording, each row 0 to 3. Note whether the main points are present but out of order, or missing.
Tips
Scripts are writing for the ear: short sentences and repeated key words help. Record the segment afterward so the student hears the result. Video projects are common in content classes; coordinate to use them as data.
Limits
Recording and editing skills are separate from the script. Group projects blur who wrote what; score the student's own section. The rubric does not score conventions.
