Install AT on a personal device
When to use this goal
For older students who will lose access to school devices after graduation and need their AT on a personal phone or computer. Present levels in device use decide fit.
- Baseline
- Ask what the student has on their own device now and mark each step during a setup session.
- Tips
- Plan this before graduation. Families may need help with device access; connect them to agencies that loan AT.
- Limits
- Not every student has a personal device. The AT specialist and team choose the tool from an AT assessment and trial data; the template measures what the student does with it, not the tool's quality.
