Get to each class during passing periods

6-8, 9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For middle and high school students who change classes in crowded hallways. Present levels in route knowledge, cane technique, and use of a locker decide fit.

Baseline
Record each passing period for two days: arrived on time on their own, arrived with help, or late. Note crowded points on each route.
Tips
Teach new routes before the term starts when possible. Being on time matters for the student's standing with teachers; a pass for early release is a support, not a failure.
Limits
Crowds change daily. The goal does not replace the O&M specialist's judgment about when the student is ready for a harder route or less supervision.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, during passing periods on a full school day, starting from the previous class, the student will travel to the next class with the cane or the taught technique and arrive before the bell independently in 6 of 6 opportunities, on 5 consecutive school days, as measured by direct observation collected daily during the first month of the term, then weekly.

Baseline: 3 of 6 opportunities.
