Complete work ahead of a planned absence

9-12Work completionTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For high school students with planned absences (medical appointments, treatments, competitions, family events) who fall behind each time. Present levels decide fit. Planning ahead is a college and work skill.

Baseline
Look at recent planned absences and what happened with the work. Help the student list upcoming planned absences on a calendar.
Tips
Teachers agree on which work matters. Medical absences are never penalized; this goal only reduces catch-up stress. Score from the gradebook.
Limits
Some teachers cannot give work ahead; record that separately. Unplanned absences use the re-entry goals instead.
