Change a password in account settings
When to use this goal
For older students who use one weak password everywhere or need an adult to reset every forgotten password. Present levels in creating a strong password (ca-dig-004) show readiness.
- Baseline
- Use demo accounts for baseline so no real password is seen by staff. Mark each step. Do not record any password on the data sheet.
- Tips
- Teach a safe storage method the family agrees with. Staff should look away when real passwords are typed. The same steps apply to job and bank accounts later.
- Limits
- Account designs differ. Forgotten-password resets by email are a separate routine.

- Write the date at the top of each session column. Mark each step I, S, or N.
- Total the number of I marks for the session. The goal counts steps completed independently (target: 6 of 7).
- Use the least intrusive prompt first and record the prompt actually needed.
