Run a checklist before submitting online work
When to use this goal
For middle school students who click submit as soon as they finish, turning in work with blank questions, missing files, or no name. Present levels decide fit. A short checklist taped near the screen is the pause.
- Baseline
- Review 10 recent submissions for blanks, missing files, and missing names. Ask the student which slip happens most. Write an operational definition first (what counts as the impulsive response and what counts as using the strategy), and teach and practice the strategy before measuring it.
- Tips
- Score each submission as met when it has no checklist errors. Keep the list to three items the student chose.
- Limits
- Does not measure work quality.

- Record up to 10 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
