Submit long-term work at least one day before it is due
When to use this goal
For students whose present levels show every long-term assignment submitted in the final minutes, often incomplete because one thing went wrong. For students who complete work but cut it close.
- Baseline
- Check platform timestamps for recent long-term assignments: how long before the deadline were they submitted? Record late submissions separately. Ask the student what usually happens the night before.
- Tips
- Each long-term assignment is one opportunity. Met means the final version is submitted before the start of the school day before the due date. Write the personal due date in the planner as if it were real. Pair with ef-pl-015 if the student has no plan to work from.
- Limits
- Long-term assignments are infrequent; data accumulate slowly. Teachers who accept resubmissions make the early submission less meaningful; agree on what version counts.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, when a long-term assignment has a due date at least one week after it is assigned, the student will submit the completed assignment at least one school day before the due date independently in at least 3 of 4 opportunities, across 2 consecutive grading periods, as measured by opportunity-by-opportunity data collected each long-term assignment, summarized each grading period.

- Record up to 4 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
