Build a weekly schedule that fits school, work, and activities
When to use this goal
For high school students juggling classes, a job, activities, and homework whose present levels show double-booked evenings and no time set aside for homework. For students with a calendar tool.
- Baseline
- Have the student build two weekly schedules without coaching and score each. Ask which commitments were missed or double-booked in recent weeks to confirm the need.
- Tips
- Write descriptors for each row before scoring. The student can use paper or a digital calendar; score the same way. Compare the schedule with what happened at the end of the week to keep it realistic.
- Limits
- Scores the schedule, not whether it was followed. Students with unpredictable work hours need a plan for updating mid-week.
