Set phone reminders for each due date

9-12, 6-8OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For older students who carry a phone but keep due dates in their head and miss them. The student should be able to use the phone's calendar or reminder app. Present levels and school phone rules, not grade, decide fit.

Baseline
List the due dates announced over two weeks and, with the student, check which ones are in the phone with a reminder. Ask what the student uses now.
Tips
A weekly phone check with the case manager takes two minutes and gives the data. Agree with teachers on a moment at the end of class when phones are allowed for this. Let the student choose alert sounds and times.
Limits
School phone policies may block in-class use; a school device or planner can substitute. Does not measure acting on the reminder.
