Read a weekly work shift schedule
When to use this goal
For students in work-based learning or a first job who need staff or family to tell them when they work. Present levels in reading names, days, and times in a table decide fit. Use the schedule format the employer uses (posted grid or app).
- Baseline
- Use 2 or 3 real or realistic schedules and 6 questions each. Note errors with times that cross noon or with shifts split across two rows.
- Tips
- Copying shifts into a phone calendar with alerts makes the reading count. Ask the employer to show schedule changes the same way each time.
- Limits
- Employer apps change; update the practice format. Does not measure arriving on time.

- Score only items the student attempted unless the goal defines a fixed set of items. Use the same denominator every session.
- Percent = numerator ÷ denominator × 100. Round to one decimal place.
- Record the support actually provided, even if the goal is independent performance.
