Weigh packages and record weights for a job

9-12Percent accuracyTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students in mailroom, shipping, produce or warehouse tasks who need to weigh items and record weights to the tenth of a pound or by pounds and ounces. Present levels in reading a digital scale and decimals to the tenth decide readiness.

Baseline
Record zeroing errors and decimal errors (writing 2.5 as 25).
Tips
Coordinate with the job coach. Pounds and ounces on some scales need a separate objective.
Limits
Lifting limits and safe handling are covered by the site and staff.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, at a job site or school mailroom, given packages, a digital shipping scale and a log, the student will zero the scale, weigh each item, and record the weight with its unit on the log independently with at least 95% accuracy on recorded weights, on 3 consecutive job-site days, as measured by work-sample analysis collected weekly at the work site.
