Record homework in the planner before the bell

3-5, 6-8DurationTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students who cannot finish writing assignments in their planner in the few minutes at the end of class, so homework is missed or unreadable. Fit depends on timing data and planner samples, not grade.

Baseline
Time the planner entry for five days and check each entry for readability and completeness. A fast but unreadable entry does not count as done.
Tips
A photo of the board or a typed entry on a device are reasonable accommodations when speed is the barrier. Pair with planning goals in executive function.
Limits
Measures speed of a short copy, not organization. Teachers must post homework early enough for the student to copy it.

  • Met: Explicit criterion. Number and unit stated.

  • Met: Mastery rule and schedule. Both stated.

  • Met: Method produces the metric. Duration recording gives duration data.

  • Met: Review timeframe. Stated.

  • Met: Baseline and target compatible. Same unit, change in the right direction.

  • Met: Aligned with area of need. Still about Handwriting.

  • Met: Level of support. Defined.
