Perform a dance routine from a video
When to use this goal
For students who lose their place, freeze, or do only some moves during class dance routines or movement videos, which are common in PE and on indoor recess days. Fit depends on scoring the routine, not grade.
- Baseline
- Score the routine twice and note where the student stops. Break routines into parts and score each part if the full routine is too long.
- Tips
- Dance builds endurance, motor planning, and joining peers. Let the student pick music sometimes. Pair with mt-pe-024 for copying single moves.
- Limits
- Rubric scores need a shared scoring guide. Students with sound sensitivity may need lower volume.
