Sketch key moments on a visualizing organizer
When to use this goal
For upper-elementary students who read chapter books with few pictures and lose track of settings and events. A four-box sketch organizer makes their mental images visible. Present levels decide the text level.
- Baseline
- Drawing skill does not count. Note whether the boxes are in order and whether they cover the whole chapter.
- Tips
- Follows the K-2 drawing template. Students with motor needs can select images or describe each moment.
- Limits
- Sketches take time; keep chapters short.
