Read body language and context in video

When to use this goal

For students who miss nonverbal clues in real-time interactions. Present levels decide fit. Body language is one clue; the situation and words count too, so students who do not read bodies easily still have routes.

Baseline
Use 10 clips with sound on. Score correct when the emotion or intention fits and clues are named.
Tips
Use clips with teens the student's age. Never use the student's own peers without consent.
Limits
Clips are simplified. The goal does not require the student to use body language themselves.

  • Met: Observable behavior. Stated as an action.

  • Met: Condition. Stated.

  • Met: Unit fits the behavior. Percent accuracy fits this behavior.

  • Met: Explicit criterion. Number and unit stated.

  • Met: Mastery rule and schedule. Both stated.

  • Met: Method produces the metric. Opportunity (trial) recording gives percent accuracy data.

  • Met: Review timeframe. Stated.

  • Met: Baseline and target compatible. Same unit, change in the right direction.
