Make plans with a peer by message
When to use this goal
For high school and transition-age students who want to meet up with peers or coworkers and whose messages leave out what, when, or where, so plans fall through. Base the choice on the student's goal and sample messages they choose to share.
- Baseline
- Score two practice exchanges. Ask the student what usually happens when they try to make plans and who they want to make plans with.
- Tips
- Score each row 0 to 2 from the thread. Use the student's own messaging style. Real threads are shared only by choice. Teach safety basics for meeting people alongside this goal.
- Limits
- The goal measures the message, not whether peers follow through. Practice exchanges are more predictable than real ones.
