Wait in line with a waiting plan

6-8, 9-12DurationTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For middle school students who leave the line, step ahead of others, or ask the adult to wait for them at counters, pharmacies, and banks. The plan gives something to do during the wait; present levels decide fit, not grade.

Baseline
Time how long the student waits in line before leaving or needing help, on at least 3 trips. Note the setting and how long the line was.
Tips
The student chooses the waiting activity; headphones are a fair tool. Teach a way to ask how long the wait is.
Limits
Real waits vary, so record the actual wait with each data point. Long waits that are hard for anyone are not failures.
