Write a travel plan for a new destination
When to use this goal
For students who ride familiar routes and need to plan trips to new places (a new job, a clinic, a friend's home) without staff doing the planning. Needs a transit app or map; present levels decide fit, not grade.
- Baseline
- Score 2 or 3 plans written with the template before teaching. Ride one planned route with the student to check the plan works.
- Tips
- The best check is riding the plan. Trip planning with a transit app alone is in community-safety; this goal adds the full written plan.
- Limits
- Solo travel is a team and family decision based on data, the travel plan, and the student's safety skills; this goal does not decide it. Street crossing and stranger responses are covered by community-safety goals.
