Write short answers to application questions
When to use this goal
For students who reach the short-answer part of an application (Why do you want to work here? What makes you a good fit?) and write one word or nothing. Present levels in written expression decide whether answers are typed, dictated or built from a frame.
- Baseline
- Score answers to the same two questions on 2 practice applications. Note whether the student has examples to draw on; students with few experiences need a list built first.
- Tips
- Build the experience bank from the resume and the strengths work in tn-sd-023. Reusing a good answer across applications is fine if it is adjusted to the employer.
- Limits
- Rubric scores depend on shared scoring; calibrate with a colleague. A strong written answer does not guarantee an interview.
