Track job applications in a search log
When to use this goal
For students in an active job search who lose track of where they applied and when to follow up. Present levels in organization and device use decide whether the log is paper, a spreadsheet or an app.
- Baseline
- Compare the log with applications the coordinator knows were sent over a month. An entry counts only when every column is filled.
- Tips
- The log drives follow-up (tn-js-018) and shows the team how the search is going. Vocational rehabilitation counselors often ask for the same information.
- Limits
- Only as accurate as the coordinator's record of applications sent. A full log does not mean the search is going well.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, during an active job search, given a job search log with columns for date, employer, job, contact and status, the student will record each application in the job search log on the day it is submitted and update its status independently, completing at least 90% of assigned log entries for applications sent that month, for 2 consecutive months, as measured by work-sample analysis collected weekly.

- Record how many assigned items were completed and how many were assigned for the defined work period.
- Percent = numerator ÷ denominator × 100. Round to one decimal place.
- Record the support actually provided, even if the goal is independent performance.
