Share job search goals with a VR counselor
When to use this goal
For students 16 to 21 who are connected to vocational rehabilitation or pre-employment transition services and let adults speak for them at those meetings. Present levels in communication decide whether the student brings a written or device-based summary.
- Baseline
- Score a practice meeting with the transition coordinator acting as the counselor. Record which parts the student shared without an adult filling in.
- Tips
- Agency services, eligibility and names differ by state; the transition coordinator explains them to the student and family. Practice meetings make the real one less new.
- Limits
- Agency meetings are infrequent. The rubric scores what the student shares, not the services that follow.
