Walk bikes and scooters on school grounds

3-5, 6-8OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students who ride bikes, scooters, or skateboards to school and ride through crowded drop-off areas or sidewalks where riding is not allowed. Fit depends on arrival and dismissal observation, not grade.

Baseline
Watch five arrivals or dismissals and record where the student got on or off. Agree with the family on the route; the goal covers school grounds only.
Tips
A simple sign and one adult at the line do most of the work. Thank the student for walking. Helmets are a family and school rule; add them as a separate step if needed.
Limits
Only covers school grounds. Not a fit for students who are not allowed to ride to school; that is a family decision.
