Sort personal information that stays private online
When to use this goal
For students who post or type their address, school, phone number or photos into games, chats and forms without thinking. Present levels in naming their own personal information decide fit.
- Baseline
- Use only made-up examples. Record misses on information that seems harmless but can locate a person (school name, team, a photo in uniform).
- Tips
- Teach that trusted adults can help decide when sharing is needed (forms for school or a doctor). Pair with community-safety's unsafe online requests template for live situations.
- Limits
- Sorting cards does not show what the student does in a real game chat. Some information is private for some families and not others; agree on the list with families.

- Score only items the student attempted unless the goal defines a fixed set of items. Use the same denominator every session.
- Percent = numerator ÷ denominator × 100. Round to one decimal place.
- Record the support actually provided, even if the goal is independent performance.
