Set an app profile to private
When to use this goal
For students who use social media, gaming or messaging apps with public profiles and location sharing on. Present levels in finding settings menus decide fit. Practice happens on the student's own account only with family permission, or on a demo screen.
- Baseline
- Use a demo account or screenshots for baseline. Record which settings the student can find; location sharing is often buried.
- Tips
- Families decide which apps a student uses; share the checklist with them. App menus change; update guides each term. This goal is the action step after ca-dig-010.
- Limits
- Settings differ by app and version. Privacy settings reduce risk but do not make an account safe from people the student accepts as friends.
