Organize and share files in a cloud drive

9-12Task-analysis stepsTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For high school students whose drives are full of loose files and who share documents with edit access by mistake. Present levels on saving and naming files (ca-dig-007) show readiness.

Baseline
Count loose and unnamed files at baseline. Observe one sharing task and mark each step. Wrong access level is the most important error to catch.
Tips
Sharing with the right access protects the student's work and others' privacy. The same skills are used in college and at work.
Limits
Drive tools differ. Deleting files should always be checked with the teacher first.

Criterion

Number of routine steps performed independently.

Sample numbers. Replace them with the student's data.

Task-analysis steps

Write each step so an observer can mark it done or not done.

Data collection

A routine is broken into ordered steps; each step is recorded as independent, supported, or not completed.

How many measurements must meet the criterion.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, given the student's own cloud drive and a group project that needs files shared, the student will organize the drive into folders and share one file with the right person and the right access, performing at least 7 of 8 steps independently, across 3 consecutive weekly checks, as measured by a task-analysis checklist collected weekly.

Baseline: 2 of 8 steps independently.

  • Met: Observable behavior. Stated as an action.

  • Met: Condition. Stated.

  • Met: Unit fits the behavior. Task-analysis steps fits this behavior.

  • Met: Explicit criterion. Number and unit stated.

  • Met: Mastery rule and schedule. Both stated.

  • Met: Method produces the metric. Task-analysis checklist gives task-analysis steps data.

  • Met: Review timeframe. Stated.

  • Met: Baseline and target compatible. Same unit, change in the right direction.

  • Met: Aligned with area of need. Still about Digital Literacy & Online Safety.

  • Met: Level of support. Defined.

  • Met: Blanks filled in. Nothing left to fill in.

Checks structure and wording only. Whether the goal fits the student is the team's call.
