Get through a shift's task list
When to use this goal
For transition-age students at work-based learning sites who start tasks but leave some on the list undone by the end of the shift. The tasks should be learned. Present levels at the site, not grade, decide the list length.
- Baseline
- Record the percent of listed tasks finished across several shifts. Note which tasks are often left.
- Tips
- Supervisors can mark the list. Tasks left undone may be too hard; check them. Pair with ef-ti-032 for moving between tasks.
- Limits
- Shift lengths and task lists change with the site's needs; compare shifts of similar length. Does not measure task quality, which the supervisor checks separately.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, during a work-based learning shift with a written or picture task list, the student will finish each task on the list and mark it done before the end of the shift independently, completing at least 90% of assigned shift tasks, across 3 consecutive weeks of shifts, as measured by direct observation collected each shift, summarized weekly.
Baseline: 50% of assigned work.

Met: Observable behavior. Stated as an action.
Met: Condition. Stated.
Met: Unit fits the behavior. Work completion fits this behavior.
Met: Explicit criterion. Number and unit stated.
Met: Mastery rule and schedule. Both stated.
Met: Method produces the metric. Direct observation gives work completion data.
Met: Review timeframe. Stated.
Met: Baseline and target compatible. Same unit, change in the right direction.
Met: Aligned with area of need. Still about Assignment Completion.
Met: Level of support. Defined.
Met: Blanks filled in. Nothing left to fill in.
Checks structure and wording only. Whether the goal fits the student is the team's call.
Short-term objectives (optional)
When are objectives required?Required for students on alternate assessments (34 CFR §300.320(a)(2)(ii)); some states require them for everyone.

- Record how many assigned items were completed and how many were assigned for the defined work period.
- Percent = numerator ÷ denominator × 100. Round to one decimal place.
- Record the support actually provided, even if the goal is independent performance.
