Make up classwork missed during pull-out
When to use this goal
For students who leave class for speech, counseling, or other services and never make up what the class did. Teams should first decide which missed work is essential. Present levels, not grade, decide fit.
- Baseline
- Track pull-out sessions for two weeks and whether missed work was collected and finished.
- Tips
- The team agrees on what is essential so students are not double loaded. A tray makes collecting easy.
- Limits
- Scheduling services during core instruction is often the root problem; review the service schedule first. Make-up work should be trimmed to essentials so the student is not doing double work.

- Record up to 6 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
