Keep belongings in the assigned cubby or hook

PK, K-2OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For children whose present levels show coats, lunch boxes, and folders left on the floor or in other children's spaces. Fits when the child can find their own cubby by name or photo.

Baseline
Check the cubby and floor area after arrival and recess for a week and record where each item ended up. Confirm the child can point to their own cubby when asked.
Tips
Each item that needs storing is one opportunity. Met means the item is in the child's own cubby or on their hook. Items in a neighbor's cubby count as not met. Use the same photo on the cubby and on any visual schedule.
Limits
Crowded cubby areas lead to misplaced items that are not about organization skill. Does not cover retrieving items later; that can be a separate goal.
