Bring the library book back on library day

K-2, 3-5OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For young students who lose library books or leave them at home, so they cannot check out new ones. Families may need a reminder too. Present levels, not grade, decide the supports.

Baseline
Ask the librarian for the student's return record over the last six weeks. Note whether books come back late, damaged, or not at all.
Tips
Library records give the data for free. A book bag that stays in the backpack is the main support. Celebrate returns; avoid taking away library time as a consequence.
Limits
Family schedules affect returns, so a missed return is not always the child's doing. Does not measure care of the book or reading at home.

Goal
