Map a four-year course plan to a goal
When to use this goal
For high school students choosing courses each year without a link to graduation needs or postsecondary goals. Counselors should be part of the plan. Present levels and transition goals, not grade, decide fit.
- Baseline
- Ask the student why they chose their current courses and score a plan they make without help.
- Tips
- The plan feeds the transition section of the IEP. Update it each year. Middle school students can plan their first high school year.
- Limits
- Course offerings change; plans need yearly updates. Only one or two data points per year.
