Match point sheet ratings with each teacher
When to use this goal
For students on a daily point sheet or behavior report card whose own ratings are much higher or lower than the adults' ratings. Fits schedules with several teachers. Present levels decide the number of rated goals and how close a match must be.
- Baseline
- For one week, have the student rate each period on a separate strip before the teacher rates, then compare. Count matching periods per day. Note whether mismatches run high, low, or both; that tells you whether to teach the definitions or talk through specific moments.
- Tips
- Each class period is one opportunity; met means every goal on that period's sheet matches within one point. Reward accurate ratings, not just high ones, so the student has a reason to rate honestly. As matching becomes steady, fade teacher ratings to random periods.
- Limits
- Teachers differ in how they rate; give them the same definitions. Matching measures the accuracy of self-rating, not the behavior itself; the behavior goals still need their own data.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, at the end of each class period, when the student and the teacher each rate the same point sheet goals on a 0 to 2 scale, the student will rate each goal on the point sheet before seeing the teacher's rating and give a rating that matches the teacher's or is within one point of it independently in at least 5 of 6 opportunities, on 4 of 5 consecutive school days, as measured by opportunity-by-opportunity data collected daily, summarized weekly.

- Record up to 6 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
