Find and fix cleaning needs in a room scan

When to use this goal

For teens who clean well when told what to do but walk past a full trash can or a dirty counter without seeing it. The goal targets noticing, which adult living depends on. Present levels and observation of the chore in a real setting, not grade or age, decide whether this template fits.

Baseline
Set up 5 common needs (crumbs on a counter, a full trash can, a towel on the floor, a sticky spill, dishes in the sink) on 3 days and count how many the student finds without a prompt.
Tips
Change the set-up items each time so the student scans rather than remembers. Count a need found when the student names it or fixes it before a prompt. Move to real, unplanned needs at home once set-up probes are steady.
Limits
Set-up probes are a stand-in for real life. Does not measure cleaning quality.
