Take out the trash when the bin is full

9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students 18 to 21 who empty the trash when told but let a full kitchen bin overflow. Fits once the student can tie and carry a full bag to the outside bin. Present levels and observation of the chore in a real setting, not grade or age, decide whether this template fits.

Baseline
For two weeks, note each time the bin was full and whether the student took it out before being asked. Mark the fill level that counts as full.
Tips
A fill line removes the guesswork about when the bin is full. Score one opportunity each time the bin reaches the line. Teach the building's bin or chute rules.
Limits
Opportunities vary with how much trash the household makes. Does not cover recycling or bin collection day.
