Sit with peers through snack time

PKDurationTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For young students who ate at home with family before preschool and now leave the snack table after a bite or two. Present levels in self-feeding and the family's report of mealtimes decide fit. Feeding plans from the OT or SLP come first.

Baseline
Time from sitting down to first leaving the table for 5 snack times. Note what the student ate; hunger and food preference change the time a lot.
Tips
Let the family send a familiar food during the first weeks. A seat at the end of the table or a cushion can help. The student does not have to eat; staying at the table with peers is the skill.
Limits
Not for students with feeding or swallowing plans that limit time at the table. Does not measure eating or conversation.
