Dribble a soccer ball with the feet
When to use this goal
For students who kick the ball far ahead or lose it when trying to move with it during soccer units. Dribbling with the feet needs small taps, balance, and looking up. Fit depends on a drill and game observation, not grade.
- Baseline
- Score five straight-line trials and five cone trials: completed with control, or lost the ball. Note which foot the student uses.
- Tips
- A softer ball rolls less and is easier to control. Move to game play once cone trials are steady.
- Limits
- Seasonal with soccer units. Students with balance needs may need PT input on safe drills.

- Record up to 5 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
