Stick the landing after a jump
When to use this goal
For students who land stiff-legged, fall, or let knees cave in after jumps in PE and sports, which raises injury risk. Fit depends on observing landings, not grade.
- Baseline
- Score eight landings, from the front view if possible, and note knee position. Video helps.
- Tips
- Teach landing before jumping higher. This is useful for students joining school sports.
- Limits
- Not for students with lower-body restrictions without PT clearance.

- Record up to 8 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
