Retell an event from another person's view

When to use this goal

For students who can retell events only from their own view. Present levels decide fit. Retelling from someone else's view puts perspective taking into words.

Baseline
Score two retells on the rubric. Note where the student slips back into their own view.
Tips
Spoken, written, or device retells all count. Start with fictional events before real ones.
Limits
Language and writing skills affect scores; allow spoken retells if writing is a barrier. Not a narrative-language goal, though it can share materials.
