Answer a teammate's question in a project chat
When to use this goal
For students who read but do not answer teammates' messages in group project chats or shared documents, so teammates think they are not doing their part. Present levels decide fit. Answers can be typed text, a voice note, or a comment in the shared document.
- Baseline
- Review a recent school-managed project chat and mark each teammate question to the student and whether they answered by the agreed time. Ask the student what gets in the way: notifications, not knowing what to say, or not having done the part yet.
- Tips
- Each teammate question aimed at the student is one opportunity. "I'm not done yet, I'll have it Thursday" counts. Agree on response times with the whole group. Use school platforms only.
- Limits
- Teammates who post many questions inflate opportunities; count questions, not messages. The goal does not measure the quality of the student's project work.

- Record up to 5 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
