Share a favorite activity at morning meeting

When to use this goal

For young students who do not answer when asked what they like to do, or who answer only with "I don't know". Present levels decide fit, not grade. Accept a word, a sign, a picture, an object brought from home, or a device message.

Baseline
Record 5 share turns or asks over a week, noting what the student said or showed. Ask the family for a list of activities the student chooses at home so photos can be ready. Score only what the student says, writes, signs, or does; never use a self-esteem rating or a mood scale as the criterion.
Tips
An interest that seems narrow or unusual still counts. Let the student pass on a share turn and come back. The family list is the best source for photos and objects.
Limits
Measures sharing in a set routine. It does not show whether the student starts conversations about interests with peers; that is a peer interaction goal.
