Share an experience in a stuttering support group

6-8, 9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For older students who stutter who want to meet others who stutter through a school, district, online, or community group. Base the choice on the student's interest. Talking about stuttering with peers who stutter can lower isolation; joining is always optional.

Baseline
Talk about whether the student knows anyone who stutters and their interest in a group. Record the first few meetings to set a realistic target.
Tips
Each meeting is one opportunity; score correct when the student shares in any form. Listening-only meetings are fine early on. Families choose community groups; staff do not require them.
Limits
Groups may not exist locally; online groups need family consent and supervision. Attendance outside school is not something a school can require.
