Ask a pharmacist a question about a medicine

9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For young adults who manage some of their own health and do not ask when they are unsure about a medicine (take with food, a missed dose, an over-the-counter choice). Present levels in communication decide the mode, not grade.

Baseline
Use role-plays with the nurse for most of the baseline. Score correct when the student asks, gets the answer, and records or repeats it.
Tips
Pharmacists answer medicine questions for free; that is worth teaching. Write questions with the family and nurse.
Limits
The goal teaches asking, not medical decisions. Answers are followed only with the family's and prescriber's plan.
