Build a career exploration portfolio
When to use this goal
For high school students doing several exploration activities a year whose results end up scattered or lost. Present levels in organization and technology use decide whether the portfolio is a binder, a folder or a digital file.
- Baseline
- Score the first update. Missing items usually reflect the filing habit, not missing work; note where products end up instead.
- Tips
- Bring the portfolio to IEP and transition meetings; it is strong age-appropriate transition assessment evidence. The student decides what goes in the interest summary.
- Limits
- Few data points per year. A complete portfolio shows organized work, not the quality of each item.
