Write a two weeks' notice resignation message
When to use this goal
For students who are leaving a job and need to give written notice, or who are preparing for future jobs. Present levels in writing and typing, not grade, decide fit; dictation or a sentence frame keeps the focus on content.
- Baseline
- Collect one message written with no frame. Score each row and note whether the last-day math or the tone is the main gap.
- Tips
- Teach that the message is short and positive, with no complaints. Have the student save a copy. Pair with the in-person talk (tn-ef-017), since many supervisors want to hear it first.
- Limits
- Measures the written message only. Writing mechanics are not scored here beyond what makes the message clear; use a writing goal if needed.
