Reschedule an appointment the day before

9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For students who miss appointments when plans change instead of moving them, which can lead to no-show fees or losing a service. Fits once the student can make an appointment; present levels decide fit, not grade.

Baseline
Real conflicts are rare, so run 3 to 5 practice scenarios for the baseline and record any real ones with a note.
Tips
Teach the office's cancellation rule (often 24 hours). Count a text or portal change as independent when the student starts it.
Limits
Practice scenarios do not fully show what happens with real conflicts; record the setting with each data point.

Goal

By the annual IEP review date, when a planned appointment conflicts with work, school, or illness, with the office's number or portal saved in the phone, the student will contact the office at least a day ahead to cancel or move the appointment and update the calendar independently in at least 4 of 5 opportunities, on 2 consecutive monthly probes, as measured by opportunity-by-opportunity data collected monthly, with real conflicts recorded as they happen.
