Record a lesson with audio-linked notes
When to use this goal
For students who cannot write notes fast enough to keep up and use a note-taking app or smartpen that links audio to notes. Present levels in note-taking and device use decide fit.
- Baseline
- Check notes from five lessons: recorded with marked points, recorded only, or nothing. Ask whether the student replayed anything.
- Tips
- Get recording permission from teachers and follow school policy. Replaying is where the value is; check that it happens.
- Limits
- Recorded lessons are not studied notes. The AT specialist and team choose the tool from an AT assessment and trial data; the template measures what the student does with it, not the tool's quality.

- Record up to 5 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
