Act on intercom announcements
When to use this goal
For students who miss information in school announcements over the speaker system, where there is no face and often poor sound. Present levels from classroom observation decide fit.
- Baseline
- Track five announcements that apply to the student and record whether they acted on them without help.
- Tips
- Checking with the teacher or a written copy is a correct response. The school should post announcements in writing for everyone.
- Limits
- Announcement systems are often unclear for all students. The template measures listening for a student whose family chose listening as one route; it never replaces sign language or captions the student also uses.

- Record up to 5 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
