Request an interpreter for an event

9-12OpportunitiesTemplateReview and individualize before use. How templates are made
When to use this goal

For high school students preparing for adult life, where they will request interpreters for college, jobs, medical visits, and events themselves. Present levels in self-advocacy decide fit.

Baseline
List upcoming events and record who requested the interpreter. Use mock requests if real ones are few.
Tips
Teach lead times and what to do if an interpreter does not arrive. Students may request Deaf interpreters or CART as fits.
Limits
The school stays responsible for access in high school. ASL is a complete language; this template measures one access or language skill, and the student's broader language goals belong in expressive and receptive language with sign as the mode.

Original IEP Atlas template based on general measurement principles; not copied from any goal bank. ID ac-sig-022.
