Pass shared supplies when a tablemate asks
When to use this goal
For students at shared tables who hold onto shared crayons, glue, or markers, take supplies from others, or refuse to pass them, which leads to conflict. Fit depends on observation of table work, not grade. Personal items the student needs (a special pencil grip) are not shared supplies.
- Baseline
- Watch one table period daily for a week and score each request or passing time: passed, passed later as promised, or refused or grabbed. Note whether certain items (a favorite color) cause most problems; extra copies of those may solve part of it.
- Tips
- The "you can have it next" option keeps the student's right to finish; teach it as a real choice. Praise passing quietly and specifically. If grabbing from others is the main problem, add a reduction goal with a replacement request.
- Limits
- Depends on tablemates asking; plan a few asks with a peer if natural ones are rare. Does not cover sharing personal belongings or preferred play items, which is a social goal.

Goal
By the annual IEP review date, during table work with a shared supply caddy when a tablemate asks for an item, the student will pass the requested shared item to the tablemate or say "I'm using it, you can have it next" and pass it when done independently in at least 5 of 6 opportunities, on 4 of 5 observed days, as measured by direct observation collected during one table work period daily.

- Record up to 6 opportunities per session, matching the goal's denominator.
- Define in advance what counts as an opportunity so every data collector records the same thing.
- Count only + marks toward the criterion unless the goal specifies prompted responses.
